Installation

Our driveway gates feature heavy gauge steel construction, with special attention given to stress areas.  Installation on heavy 4” x 4” or 6” x 6” steel square post, with hinge post installed 42 inches to 48 inches below grade.

Ball bearing hinges are standard to every gate, which provides for smooth operation and prolonged operation life.

All gates carry a lifetime warranty on quality of workmanship.  If your gate structure fails, or a weld breaks during normal operation, Artistic Iron and Forge will repair it at no cost to the customer.

Driveway gates (swing or slide?)

Driveway Gates come in either swinging or slide.  Swinging gates are used in 95% of the applications, as they are most cost effective. 

Slide Gates are more expensive to install, generally running between $500.00-$1500.00, or more than swing gates, because they require a strong flat surface (twice the length of the gate) so that they will slide smoothly as they open.

Gate Operators for slide type gates are also more expensive than swing gate operators.
